Where Are You?

Proverbs 15:3

Have you ever thought about the all-seeing eye of God? His eyes have no beginning and no ending. He sees eternally. His eyes have no barriers. He sees through all. His eyes never even blink. His eyes never close, and they never need sleep.

There was a time when there was no evil – no sin on the earth whatsoever.

Genesis 3

In Genesis 3, Adam and Eve lived in a place of paradise – until satan showed up. Satan tempted Eve. Can’t you year the conversation?

Satan: “Ye shall surely not die.”
He was saying, “Is that really wrong?” You can even sense reasoning. It would even cause Eve to wonder, “Well, why would it be wrong? What harm would it cause?” And then Adam took the fruit.

As soon as they ate the fruit, their outlook changed. Sin changes your outlook. They heard God coming, and they hid from Him. Just before, they questioned, “Is it really wrong? Why would it be wrong?” But now, they didn’t want God to see what they’d done.

If you couldn’t do it if God was standing right in front of you, you shouldn’t do it at all. If you would have to change your actions with God right in front of you, you’d have to agree that what you’re doing must be wrong.
