Galatians 5:7
We use New Years as a day that we can make a “new start” of things. Ever heard someone say, “New year, new me?” But really, what would make a better time to change something and make a fresh start? So far, I haven’t really made any mistakes in 2023. That’s why we come up with “New Year’s resolutions.”
In our text, Paul is commending the Galatians for running a good race. They apparently started off good but didn’t finish well. They started well – having believed in Christ. They’d been worshipping Him with zeal, they weren’t just Sunday Christians, and they were busy for Christ seven days a week. But someone had stepped in and caused them to turn from the truth.
